 My name is Ian Perlman. I'm 13 years old and love music. My hobbies are drums, guitar, surfing, basketball, and tennis. I live in San Diego and sports are a big part of my life.
My favorite bands are Saves the Day, Rufio, Ul, and some local punk bands from San Diego. I think American Empire Records has also been the greatest because they believe in me. I can't wait to record
the next CD and hope you guys will like it.
 As you know I am a twin and am thankful to have such a great brother who helps me out in my music. My brother Mitch is my producer and he helps me arrange my songs. He's always raising the bar by helping me out on the bad songs and the good ones. I am also in a band called Dinkum with my friends Mark and Chris. Chris has really helped me with my music because he always gets me so excited.
I'm not sure how I create my music, but I work at it really hard. That's what you have to do. You have to just start writing and playing. Something starts to form up and you build on it. Usually it's something you do by yourself. I'm lucky because my twin brother likes to write down what I'm writing and playing. Believe it or not, writing songs for my guitar and singing my own music is what I've wanted to do since I was 9. It's something most people just dream about, but now I'm doing it.
